LPLive release exclusive 8 track demo CD
Posted by
Energy on 01 Jul 2009 11:28 pm
I've been very busy these past few months, but one piece of news that has got me excited is the very rare demo CD that
LPLive has managed to get their hands on and rip for the fan community.
This is a selection of demos, some which we've heard before, and some slightly different, and one track that no one really knew existed before. She Couldn't. It's very different from what we're used to hearing from Linkin Park, so check it out :)
Anyway go here and
download it in FLAC or MP3!
Thanks LPLive!

Sorry this is a little hastily done but I'm at work and I'm uber excited!
Some of you may have seen via your LPU email alert that Linkin Park will be working on the score for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. A new LP song is being used as one of the themes through the movie and LP will be working with Hans Zimmer to create various interpolations of this for the score!
How exciting! Check out the full article using the link below because I can't type anymore!

News about the new album
Posted by
Jon on 01 Apr 2009 09:45 am
Mike recently mentioned in his blog that the new Linkin Park record will feature more Joe Hahn work, this time using slightly more obvious samples. For the first two CDs, Joe was creating original samples to implement throughout his set, but as time continued and Mike lost interest in hip hop, Joe became a t-shirt salesman, Chester an Actor, Rob a chef and the other two did something, we saw less and less of Joe's active stage presence and wikipedia-like sampling.
So in order to gain more radio play and be featured on more of the record, Joe has evolved further and will be sampling Lady Sovereign, Lady Gaga and Lady Marmalade for a Chester and Phoenix collaboration entitled "Ladies and Queens".
The song is supposedly very bass heavy, will feature harmonies but also be the first Linkin Park track without any accompaniment from Mike. For more info continue to
the comments section.

Hey all -
I know things have been very quiet on the site. I've not spoken to most the news posters but I know with me this is purely down to me getting covered in work from both my Masters course and doing my job aswell. This leaves me little free time, let alone free time to track down news...
However I'm going to try and make the extra effort and dedicate some time to the site each day. However I could do with some extra hands on deck. If you would like to post news on the site please email me at simon@lpfuse.co.uk with an example news post that you would make on the site. We'll sort you out from there!
Hope you are all good - lets see if we can get things moving again :)

Linkin Park Thinking Conceptual For Next Album
Posted by
Energy on 28 Oct 2008 07:23 pm
According to
Billboard.com Linkin Park "never envisioned ourselves doing a concept record, but we see an opportunity to do something really cool so we jumped on it, and we'll see how it comes out. I think it's a challenge and we'll see if we can rise to the occasion." - chester bennington
Lots more to be read, including info about Chester's solo project being finished in the next couple of months. More after the jump!

Leave out all the rest - Road to Revolution

Check here to watch the video of Leave out all the rest performed at Milton Keynes. Looks like the band plans to use this video to promote the upcoming CD/DVD.
Mike also confirmed (thanks lolo) in his blog that a few songs had been cut from the setlist, however they'll be made public. the idea behind this was to keep the CD & DVD consistant. Of course the CD had to be under 80 minutes so a few songs (papercut, wake 2.0, poa) didn't make the cut. Of course the audio for these tracks is already publicly availble (so is the whole concert), hopefully the video footage we get is close to DVD quality. :)
Also mike confirmed that LPU8's CD will not be live music! yay!

EDIT:
To clarify. Mike Shinoda sings the second verse. Mark Wakefield from Xero is the first verse. They sing together. This is 100% Mike Shinoda and if you don't realise that then you obviously have never heard him sing. If you need any further information, eat a taco.
Linkin Park: Road to Revolution Release Date and title confirmation
Posted by
Energy on 14 Oct 2008 04:14 pm
Billboard.com have given details about the new LP live DVD filmed at Milton Keynes. They 'announce' the setlist, which is unsuprisingly the same as what was played at the time. They also reveal the title and release date:
Linkin Park has unveiled the track list for "Road To Revolution," a double-disc CD/DVD of the rock act performing in at England's Milton Keynes National Bowl during the European leg of the 2008 Projekt Revolution tour. The set is due Nov. 25 via Machine Shop Recordings/Warner Bros.Currently I for one are disspointed that LP hasn't gone back to their old ways, this seems to be a plain live DVD just thrown out for christmas. It was a great show, I was there... but still lets put Within Temptation's recent offering out there... The Black Symphony. 2 DVDs, 2CDs. The live show and more extras than you can throw a stick at... (one of the extras being a second live show!). I know this hasn't been ruled out, but do you guys feel like it would be nice to go back to the days of frat party? (Update: considering LP.com put this on their page '
Keep checking back here for more details and secret info!!' is it wrong to feel slightly hopeful? || 2nd Update: Could of things really be different Dan says
'Packed in recyclable eco-friendly materials, "Road To Revolution" features hidden bonus tracks and an eye-popping multi-page booklet that includes exclusive, never-before-seen live photos - blabbermouth.net')
Linkin Park cancels Asia tour

Sad news today. Due to Chester's back injury, LP have had to cancel their upcoming Music For Relief shows in Asia. Sorry to everyone who was going. The concerts were to raise funds for Sichuan, an area hit by earthquakes in May. Money will still be contributed thanks to donations by the promoter Emma Ticketmaster and Linkin Park.
I had hoped Chester's back wasn't so bad that they would have to do this.

Get well soon Chester!
