Europe receives Projekt Revolution

The latest LP Newsletter not only confirms that LP are playing the Milton Keynes bowl, but that they are playing with Jay-Z.
To add to this, they've called their Europe tour, and this date, Projekt Revolution, with HIM and more bands to be announced.
Watch this space.
Energy - Is it just me or were we one step ahead of them? This is going to be an amazing show. MKBowl is an open air arena, and it literally is a whole in the ground. Circular venue with lots of vantage points for seeing. Some people love it (me), others hate it (Jaxxy), but it will be perfect for a PR Gig I'm sure.

Check out the link below to watch LP's new live video of Given Up.
It's very stylised, I love it. However it's caused some fans to really hate it. What do you think?

MK minor update

Energy on 03 Mar 2008 03:50 pm
For the UK readers. Our little spy was hunting for some info about the rumoured Milton Keynes Bowl, UK date and basically got a reply of:
"How the hell do you know about that? Nope nothing is planned"
Two very contradictory statements there. So decide what you want.
The venue is also having a lot of work done on it at the current time to improve it over the next few months.
Also I like what reader qwerty pointed out in the comments "Isn't JZ headling Glastonbury the day before?". If this MK bowl date turns out to be true, and JZ makes an appearance this could be one hell of a concert.
Lets continue to wait it out, as this may all be nothing.

Here's an interesting article Energy asked me to put up. In it Mike and Chester talk about writing music and their current tour in the US. They also make some interesting/funny/disturbing comments about Joe's clothes on stage! Has anyone been to one of these shows? What was Joe wearing?! Leave a comment!!

Mike Shinoda, Dave "Pheonix" Farrell, Joe Hahn and Chester Bennington of the band Linkin Park used hammers to nail frames together as they worked with Music for Relief and Habitat for Humanity while rebuilding homes affected by Hurricane Katrina today in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Source and photos.
Credit to Cheryl for throwing that my way, and whichever other site may have posted about it.
Whilst I give kudos to LP/Music For Relief for the charity work in progress, part of me thinks they could do less advertising for it whilst they're at it, and just work. I can't help but feel they're just doing promoting
European Tour Dates

Linkin Park has put out a bulletin on Linkin Park's myspace.
Linkin Park will be performing at these Europe tour dates in June:
June 5 - Skive Beach Party '08, Skive, Denmark - Tickets
June 14 - Hultsfred Festival, Hultsfred, Sweden - Tickets
June 15 - Greenfield Festival, Interlaken, Switzerland - Tickets
Get your tickets now. Look out for more European tour dates soon.
Thanks to Sean (HybridMeteora) for giving me the heads up...
A rumored date that has started being thrown around is:
Linkin Park - Sun 29 June 2008, Milton Keynes National Bowl
Which would be amazing as it's 20 minutes from my house. I'm trying to confirm this date and I already have my spy looking for confirmation. Thanks Bec for the news of that date.
Do not try and buy tickets for these shows yet, as the only companies that are already selling them are dodgy sites which will take your money and run.

Given Up Single Info Clear Up
Posted by
Energy on 19 Feb 2008 12:12 am
Ok guys, I know
hmv has the tracklist of the given up single as:
7'' Red Etched Vinyl
* 1. Given Up
* 2. Etched Logo
This does not mean there is a track called 'Etched Logo' coming out. I know LPtimes says otherwise, but this is a misunderstanding on their part. All it means is that the logo is pressed into side b of the vinyl. The LP logo will be printed on the vinyl, and the vinyl will be red. This is just how the other LP vinyls have been picture discs, instead this means that the vinyl may not have a b side, just a pressed in image on the bside.
As of yet I've heard no bside info about the single, if I do I'll let you know.
I'm hoping, like you guys, that we may get a studio track for a bside. The fact we've not heard about any bsides is a good sign. However if the bside is called 'Etched Logo' I will eat my hat!
(oh and the single should come out 3rd March!)

This is just a silly blog type thing I wanted to draw your attention to! It worked its way into my gmail this morning and I found it funny so thought I would share! (feel free to erase this Simon if you think it's too random!)
So...Accountancy Age is like a magazine about/for accounting/accountants (i think) and they have a blog. In this blog they describe how KPMG (a HUUUUGE accountancy firm) took them to see linkin park at the O2 as a gift! Apparantly linkin park are "thrash metal" - according to accountancy age anyway! lol have a quick gander at the article below
Clicky"Linkin Park...an apparently well-known 'thrash metal' band"
HAHAHA accountants are funny! Check out
urban dictionary if you want a definition of thrash metal!
In other news...Jaxxy discovered at work today that she can access lpfuse and wonders how long it will be before they block this website...

Plaster (One Step Closer Demo)

Energy on 11 Feb 2008 11:59 pm
It's Mike's birthday today and to celebrate everyone is going to get a very special treat. It's been a long time since we've found a new pre-hybrid theory demo, however today is the day.
Plaster was a track that LP assured us exsisted, yet no one seemed to be able to find it. Nick & I hunted for hours upon hours, only finding modified versions of the album track of One Step Closer. After almost 8 years the searching has finally paid off.
This version of One Step Closer starts off with a new intro, new sounds in the mix and small changes through out. Overall it's another great way to see how LP progressed from demo to the final version on the album.
We really hope you enjoy and treasure this track.

A lot of questions. Pondering. "What is it?" "When is it?"
It is Monday. You already knew that. Today is Saturday. It is big. An exclusive that is being shared equally. It is relevent. It is worth having. It is amazing, at least, if you have any form of history.
Some said it didn't exist. Some said it was just a myth. Some said it couldn't be found, but still we persist. Some think it was worth every second. Some worked their whole lives for it. I like to think of it as a springboard.
I'm not your conscience, but I am aware of what people are excited to hear. Two days, guys.
Just
Two
Days.
Just to be fully certain, it is not any member of the Fuse staff singing along to LP songs.
Those were done years ago, and we
have no regrets.

This is a message for all of the readers of this site, LPLive.net, LPProjekt, LPAssociation and the LPU (and anywhere else last night's news was posted):
We're bound to disappoint because almost nothing could live up to the hype that's being built. Monday's release will be huge for some and ignored by others, but for the webmasters involved and those trusted with the information early, our secret has not failed to impress.
Be patient and don't let the rumors consume you. It's not often we get to do this, so let us have our fun...
It really IS worth the wait though.
An old tale...

He looked at a clock, the time was passing so slow. Each second seemed to stretch for a mile infront of him. He gazed forward, wandering how long it had exsisted.
It felt warm, like an old friend. Familiar. Yet it was something new and precious.
He knew there was a time to give it up, but as soon as he had looked inside the box and seen the beauty within it became apparent that it needed to be free. Realeased early, but yet so late. Everyone knew the stories but could they ever appreciate the real thing? Time would tell.
That time was approaching...
