Bill Bailey... the emo LP fan?
Posted by
Energy on 21 Nov 2007 11:07 pm
Our intrepid reporter Jaxxy has just seen her and my favourite comedian: Bill Bailey. He is officially a legend, and if I wasn't running LPFuse, then I'd be running a Bill Bailey fansite, dedicated to the eggs of numbing inevitability. Ahh the eggs... Jon and I gave him one of those eggs in the middle of one of his sets. Boy did that freak him out!
Anyway to the actual point, the prementioned Jaxxy noted that in the show tonight Bill performed a new parody song about an emo who worked in a coffee shop (starbucks). Included in this song bill uses Lying From You...
To those who don't know who Bill is, go buy a DVD or youtube him or something!
Here's some clips of the song
Current version of the song (random lfy cut in)
Preview version of the song (uses lfy as part of the beat)

The O2 arena is actually going to be a great venue for Linkin Park to play at. I was there last night [for MCR and Mindless Self Indulgance who both shouted out Projekt Rev], and the venue was completely transformed and perfect for a live rock band. Hope you're all standing for the show guys.
Just thought I'd let you all know and put minds at rest.

Dead by Sunrise to resume production

Blabbermouth have put up a report about Chester's on-going project 'Dead by Sunrise".
LINKIN PARK singer Chester Bennington plans to resume work on the debut album from his side project, DEAD BY SUNRISE, which he put on hold while making and promoting the latest LINKIN PARK CD, "Minutes to Midnight". While Bennington intends to do some work on DEAD BY SUNRISE next month during the holiday break, he told The Pulse of Radio that the record will likely be completed next year. "I think I'm gonna attempt to really get the bulk of any recording or any re-arranging from March to May," he said. "We have like a couple of months off there. That way when we finish touring with LINKIN PARK, then I can go in and just finish the record and get it out."

As mentioned quite a few weeks ago, LP did a cover of the song "Little Boxes" for the TV series Weeds. This is possibly the strangest LP cover you'll hear. It's worth a listen!

LP Added another UK date

Jon on 13 Nov 2007 08:29 am
LP are now playing the O2 two nights in a row (who do they think they are? Justin Timberlake?! [yes I went there]) and you can get presales from 9am (or from late last night if you were sneaky).
It appears the O2 advertised these dates before the LPU confirmed them but they do have [supposedly] tickets on sale.
Good luck landing a pair for Tuesday 29th January 2008.
...Please don't spend your time complaining about LP not touring in your town, garden, window, walkway, city. They don't choose where they tour, they have a tour manager who tells them 'you'll not be going home for x amount of time'

Booking Linkin Park for a wedding?!

Do you want to book Linkin Park yourself? You can do so through this page... Obviously be prepared for a rejection but it'd be pretty strange having them at your wedding doing cover songs of classic cheese, amiright?
Concert downloads are back???

Purchasing tickets for one of the london shows via ticketmaster you are offered a LP digi souvenir pack. This confused me at first? Erm a few pictures of the show for £10 or something??? However read the description:
In keeping with the bands innovative stance they are offering you an exclusive souvenir digital tour package where you will receive:
A complete download of the show that you have just witnessed
A digital tour programme that is unique to this offer and unavailable elsewhere
Exclusive photos of the show that you attend
So while more expensive than the US digital recordings, this looks pretty cool.
Least the official bootleg drive is back *packs away his microphone*

UK DATES CONFIRMED!!

Jaxxy on 06 Nov 2007 07:16 am
I'm glad I checked my email this morning! LPU emailed to confirm the UK dates as:
Thu, 24 Jan
Nottingham Arena
UK
Fri, 25 Jan
Sheffield Arena
UK
Sun, 27 Jan
MEN Arena Manchester
UK
Mon, 28 Jan
The O2 London
UK
LPU presales begin at 9am tomorrow (November 7th) with the tickets going on general sale on Friday.
Personally I think it's an odd selection of venues, with Wales, Scotland, Ireland and also Birmingham ignored! But I'm not complaining! We're lucky in the UK that most things aren't too far away if we're determined to get there! I hope that there is a venue you can all reach! Should be an awesome tour! *is mega excited*
Has anyone tried this?

Warning on the possible UK dates: londonticketshop
Posted by
Energy on 04 Nov 2007 01:41 pm
Jon mentioned the previous uk dates, there are already a few companies trying to capatilise on this by selling 'early' tickets. The main culprit of this is londonticketshop. A few fans have already purchased these over-priced tickets, that chances are they are non-exsistant. The company is well known to not provide you with the tickets you paid for!. This is not our view, feel free to search google to see what others have to say!
If you want to get real tickets, go to the LPU and get involved with their official presale, of course this will only happen when the dates are confirmed.
